providing connectivity between our children and nature
We have a beautiful region to explore. We provide opportunities for our young to get out there and experience all Nelson/Tasman has to offer. Heaps of fun. New friends and new experiences.
Research shows we reap huge benefits by simply unplugging and getting outside.
adventureTREK Wednesday 10th January Mini-island Kayak experience and pirate style treasure hunt.
We'll kayak to our own island, build a shelter, light a fire and find the pirate treasure left hundreds of years ago from map we found.
Treasure is strewn all over the island so can be found in lots of places. For some reason even though in the pirates day there was no movie theatre I've heard a couple State Cinema tickets are to be found. How odd!
adventureTREK Wednesday 17th January Biketrek to Brightwater
Bikes and bikers dropped to Stoke Railway Reserve where we'll proceed to bike to Brightwater. Bring $5 or more for a hot chocolate at the local cafe. Bring swimming togs for a refreshing swim. We will be picked up and dropped back to base from Brightwater. Bikes not provided, participants need their own bikes or borrow a friends :-)
adventureTREK Wednesday 24th January Tubing down the Lee
Tyre tubes provided. We enter the river upstream and tube our way down to a fun swimming hole.
Day of tubing, swimming and picnic lunch
adventureTREK Wednesday 31st January trek to Coquille Bay
We leave base early and head to the beautiful Abel Tasman. A 45 minute walk later and we arrive at the Golden Sands of Coquille Bay. Bring a packed lunch, your togs and a towel.
Lots to explore, great time for swimming mixed with some games on the beach.
We'll be kayaking to our own mini-island this summer
bikeTREK this summer
We're a bit more grassroots, our tyres are all black but the experience is awesome!
